So a few observations / comments as I’ve been ever so remiss at updating (unless it was to tell you about hot Vikings, hot Vampires and hot GraveRobbers) (if you missed those posts, you’re missing out!).

There hereby follows a long list of stuff which may or may not interest you but I decided to cut it to avoid annoying people! )

All in all, life is good on balance. You lot might not be the sanest creatures on the planet (sorry [livejournal.com profile] eddy_, our hunt is doomed I fear) but you are all fab. Thanks for being you!

So, [livejournal.com profile] devalmont has put this post up about REPO! The Genetic Opera.

I don't think I can add much to it. Except to say it's currently one of my favourite films.

It's not for everyone, it's especially to be avoided if you don't like gore, blood, needles, knives and other things of that nature, so consider this a potential trigger warning. The subject matter (a future where organ failure is commonplace, and GeneCo will give you new body parts on a loan-repayment basis but if you fail to pay up, the Repo man will come and remove said organs...) isn't for everyone. Nor is the fact that it's a Rock Opera. Starring Sarah Brightman, Anthony Steward Head, Paris Hilton (DO NOT let that put you off, she's surprisingly good), Ogre from Skinny Puppy etc etc... with lots of scantily clad men and women.

However, if that doesn't put you off, please, please, PLEASE take a moment or several to check out the official site repo-opera.com. Listen to the soundtrack. Attack youtube and see what goodies it has. Best of all, buy it. And buy the soundtrack. And go tell Terrance Zdunich what you think of it.... or him.... this is him....

And if I need to elaborate on that, you just don't get me :P. EDIT - his website contains bugs and cockroaches, just so you know.

We'll be hosting a REPO! night at some point soon, so if you aren't sure, come along to that to test the waters. I'll even set up a 'chill out' room for those who really don't like it. But give it a go, if you remotely think you might enjoy it.

Because it, in my humble opinion, is made of win.

By the way, if anyone see's this for sale again, I will adore and worship you forever if you manage to get me one. I will of course reimburse (and I'll most probably manage to get one myself as I'm checking the site daily so probably best just to ping me and let me know they're for sale again when I think about it...);

Just to say thank you, in no particular order, to the many wonderful icon makers out there who have shared the following icons (which took a bit of searching for, hence the post!):

Cut due to excessive Dita, not all entirely worksafe and rather heavy on the dial up! )

Feel free to visit their sites.

All the above images linked from my userpic space - if you want them, take them from their rightful owners and comment and credit as necessary!

I'm currently buying decs for my crimbly tree (I am SO getting a black plastic one this year) as of course, lots of things are in for Halloween. Whilst looking at [livejournal.com profile] gloomygoods I found D56 which quite frankly is far too far too nice. However, there is something on there that would look totally perfect dangling from black branches:

RELEASE THE BATS!

Want. Must not buy. Must be good. Glad it's a couple more weeks before pay day or I'd be sorely tempted!

Could this year BE any better film wise? Yes, I believe it could. :D

Fab night last night (we'll forget the part where I disappeared for an hour shall we....). Thanks to the Warwick lot, apologies to poor [livejournal.com profile] grinning_idiot and HUGE thanks to El Presidente, [livejournal.com profile] holaholaamigos for the lift. I'm still drunk I think.

Badly needed hugs free of charge here. Have a good weekend all, whatever you're doing.

Willy Wonka Trailer.

Silly, goofy, made me smile... I just hope there are some darker bits in it.

Roll on 2005!

Yes, I am.

Because [livejournal.com profile] llbreedll has said I can use his heart. Well, not USE it. But, use a picture of his for an icon.

Go there. To his site. Now.

By the way, once complete, the icon will be on this post for all to see. Full credit to Gareth as promised!
