Thanks to everyone who's been in touch either yesterday or today to wish me a happy 28th... I've been inundated! Normally that would be wonderful but it's super specially good as I'm away from home until tomorrow and am really missing my chappy.

I've texted the fab four to announce this evening's plans in Leicester (Debi, Fuzzy, John and Jen) so hope to tell you all tales of drunken debauchery, mid hangover, tomorrow.

Whilst I'm on the subject, Happy Birthday to all fellow Gemini's. There are LOADS of us here in el-jay land (and quite a few more over on Facebook).

Most excellent last night if the severity of the hangover today was anything to go by. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Zombified. We were treated to All Gone Dead and Screaming Banshee Aircrew, but better than that was the sheer number of people there. As it was my last night out in Brum whilst I'm still a resident, it was great to be able to say goodbye to so many of you!

Today I have mostly been grinning at gorgeous presents and feeling very loved. At the grand old age of 25, I seem to have gathered around me some very dear and kind people who know me far too well! A magnificent bracelet, a beautiful pendant, a kitten, Lemony Snickett books and the DVD, an Audrey Hepburn purse, a tres gothique mug, Bobble the Blue Owl, Pure Poison, The Red Tree, Screw the Roses - Give me the Thorns, Cinamon Cappucino Coffee, The Doomspell Trilogy, a Blue-Cap Freshly Caught Fairy, a lilac and lace candle votive, a rose scented lilac and lace pomander, a perfectly selected black basque, a funky cyber skirt, wine... but most importantly of all, time with my loved ones.

I've had devalmont here all week, which has been amazing. He didn't want to leave even though it is only 2 weeks before we live together. As hard as it is to leave Brum, as much as I wish I could take you all with me wherever I am, I know you're there for me. I'm here for you too.

So. Friday. Well. I arrived two hours late, thanks partly to the buses not getting me to the station for 4:24pm, thanks partly to the technical fault on the train at 5:24pm which caused a cancellation. Despite this, the journey was relatively pleasant. Teaching and what the best methods, my top, Pokemon Ruby on the Gameboy and various other things were discussed during the travel. I was on the receiving end of a MASSIVE and wonderous hug, the usual was purchased from the grill house along with liquid refreshment from Balvs and all was good.

Saturday invovled a mini meep as I was left in bed. I generally planned to join the boys at WT's for the match but failed utterly due to a soak in the bath and makeup requirements. A toddle along to the Mitre (via several shops including a wonderful jewellery stall which was owned by the man who set up the Mercat Moot in 1995! Well he WAS selling silver broom broaches, had to die for Athames and a rather pretty chalice proudly snuggled into his photo album, as he makes lots of pretty silver things) to meet up with mutualdesire and his Cambridge buddies for lunch. Eventually. At the Pick...something.

Back via my love's workplace and then much debate over going out or not, then much debate over what to wear. We FINALLY arrived at ( the party ) A rather wonderful and fun chilled out evening ensued, which lead nicely onto Sunday. Thank you to the host and hostess (who looked gorgeous in her ivy).

What happened Sunday... oh yes. Very little. Phoenix Nights series 2 for a little while. Packing disgruntedly. Watching May. Very Sunday! :)

Then back here far earlier than is fair. The train didn't have the decency to be late or anything. No-one interesting on the train. Missed the no. 35 by moments so had to hold out in The Newt for the next one. Just... meh. There was some really sad, miserable news too. Not directly involving me, but friends. You know, it doesn't matter how much I wish I could make it all ok, I know I can't. It's so frustrating!

I'm feeling rather sleepy now so off to bed... gn'ite and I hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine minus the bad bits!

So here we are, 2 hours after starting. I now have a long list of those in need of hugs, congratulations, diary dates to note, anger to feel, generally - a week away from you all takes a lot of catching up.

Incidentally - Zim fans. Which one is Killer Hunter Destroying Machine thingy on please?

I no longer work where I did for the pittance I did.

I now work elsewhere. As of Wednesday. Meanwhile, I would like to get exceedingly drunk. Hoorah!

I'm remarkably chuffed for several of you at the moment. Or worried about you. And in some cases, both.

Firstly, it's now exactly 4 months since sapphrine and I started dating.

Secondly, I've now been employed for a week, working for Birmingham Council's Housing Office. This is good as it means I shall be able to afford food etc. Thankfully my wonderful parents sent a nice loan at the start of the week so my bank account isn't looking too dead. AND I also had the pleasure of a wonderful meal on my return from work on Monday evening. In addition, the lovely miss zevbofb3k made up my packed lunch on Wednesday. She makes CRACKING cheese savoury. (Thank you both so much, it was greatly appreciated)

Thirdly, I'm now the owner of a VERY beautiful purple velvet and satinesque dress. It's totally gorgeous, as is the rather spiffy individual who purchased it for me and surprised me with it on Thursday.

Fourthly (I promise to stop numbering them in a tick) I had a wonderful evening on Thursday at a Brumgoth outing to see Pirates of the Carribean. Mr Depp and Mr Bloom did not disappoint. I shall be going to see it again with a group of girls, rather than sitting between 3 goth bois. I couldn't really justify swooning.... although apparently Lynette was more than happy to sigh and moan in a drooling manner.

Fifthly, I now have the photos that Dave at Decline took of myself and sapphrine a couple of weeks ago. Indeed, more are on the way - there are plans for another photo shoot very shortly which I'm looking forward to. For now, I hope that this picture of sapphrine, this picture of us both, and this rather amusing one will keep you going. The tweaked and enhanced versions will appear on Decline shortly.

AND finally, I had another wonderful day yesterday in town with toxicpixie, sapphrine, Ian and then later in Scruffy Murphy's with Irish Nathan and Rachael, Jennifer, Kim and Zesty, zevbofb3k and her Ronan, borange and other folks who's names currently ellude me.

Also, I've happily found the Brum Vampire MET group. Yey! I'm planning to go along and be a background person tonight, but it's not set in stone. It's totally dependant on what sapphrine and myself end up doing to celebrate.

So after a rather long night, I'm going to get showered and dressed and I shall speak to you all anon.
