Erm. So. Jogging gear.

I might need a .... hoodie. To cover up and stay warm when it's cooler. Me. In a hoodie. UGH!

So, I've decided I want this black one here;

Stuff it, if I'm going to jog, I'm going to jog in STYLE baby, yeah!

INO, things at home are going, all things considered, remarkably well. Just echoing and confirming what [livejournal.com profile] devalmont has said really. *nods*

Below are a few things I'm selling on [livejournal.com profile] thriftstoreuk (EDIT - here, repost here) and [livejournal.com profile] niceboots (EDIT - here, repost here). This is a re-post on my lj for those of you who aren't part of those selling communities!

There will be more over the next few weeks and this is the first batch. Clothes, Accessories, Random Stuff... you name it. It's just time for a good clear out of things I don't/can't use any more. I will only sell only things I'd happily wear myself (or use... if I fitted into them, or they were my style any more), and I'm picky - the rest will get trashed / if it's okay will go to second hand shops.

So my sister's chap Tim (who rocks) is a Death Metaller and is looking for some t-shirts. They're seemingly not easy to get over in Oz. Any of you lot know;

WHERE, ONLINE, CAN YOU BUY DEATH METAL BAND T-SHIRTS???

Specifically 1349, Aeon and any silly Metaloclypse....

Tim usually buys from the US of A but was wondering if there were any UK sites. Our google-foo is lacking.

Ahoy there Disney fans... Tesco's (evil hiss) have got a B.O.G.O.F on a selection of Disney films.

So, [livejournal.com profile] devalmont has put this post up about REPO! The Genetic Opera.

I don't think I can add much to it. Except to say it's currently one of my favourite films.

It's not for everyone, it's especially to be avoided if you don't like gore, blood, needles, knives and other things of that nature, so consider this a potential trigger warning. The subject matter (a future where organ failure is commonplace, and GeneCo will give you new body parts on a loan-repayment basis but if you fail to pay up, the Repo man will come and remove said organs...) isn't for everyone. Nor is the fact that it's a Rock Opera. Starring Sarah Brightman, Anthony Steward Head, Paris Hilton (DO NOT let that put you off, she's surprisingly good), Ogre from Skinny Puppy etc etc... with lots of scantily clad men and women.

However, if that doesn't put you off, please, please, PLEASE take a moment or several to check out the official site repo-opera.com. Listen to the soundtrack. Attack youtube and see what goodies it has. Best of all, buy it. And buy the soundtrack. And go tell Terrance Zdunich what you think of it.... or him.... this is him....

And if I need to elaborate on that, you just don't get me :P. EDIT - his website contains bugs and cockroaches, just so you know.

We'll be hosting a REPO! night at some point soon, so if you aren't sure, come along to that to test the waters. I'll even set up a 'chill out' room for those who really don't like it. But give it a go, if you remotely think you might enjoy it.

Because it, in my humble opinion, is made of win.

By the way, if anyone see's this for sale again, I will adore and worship you forever if you manage to get me one. I will of course reimburse (and I'll most probably manage to get one myself as I'm checking the site daily so probably best just to ping me and let me know they're for sale again when I think about it...);

The BEST. NEWS. EVAR!.

Well, ok, that's perhaps stretching it slightly. I mean, compared with other news stories, it's just averagely thoroughly brilliant. And it's not like it's NEW news. But still. Made my 5am head happy.

Rah rah rah.

(still having nightmare and on waking from them, nightwake issues and I'm not supposing that watching horror-drama-comedy programmes at silly o'clock actually helps, but hey, I'd have only watched it tonight instead otherwise)

I might head back to bed now for a bit! (Oh, and sorry [livejournal.com profile] devalmont - but I'll be zonked when you come in tonight and I tried SO hard to resist and... couldn't. I'm a bad, bad girlfriend.)

So some of you will know, but most won't, that I'm a bit of a fussy bugger when it comes to incense. Ignoring the fact that I have been known to make my own (which reminds me, I've got a project to finish), I have a small and select few which I find to be just perfect. Nag Champa is NOT one of these - to me, it smells like week old sick that's had the benefit of the summer Sun beaming down on it. Not good (and apologies to those of you who like it).

My "stick incense" recommendations to anyone would be ...cut for those who've no interest, which is likely everyone except for Jen! )

I have actually died and gone to scent heaven.

If you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you might have missed a thoroughly wonderful "dark drama sitcom" called 'Being Human', which is currently available here for now.

If a (very cute, slightly broody, sexeh dark, tall and handsome with an Irish accent) Vampire (who I MIGHT have a teensy bit of a crush on), a (goofy, geeky, awkward but thoroughly adorable glasses wearing) Werewolf (who I just want to hug but he'd probably run a mile) and a (sweet, smily, cute) Ghost (who is pure sunshine when she's happy) were housemates in the world as is, this is roughly what you'd get.

Please, BBC 3, please continue this series. It's making Sunday evenings very interesting!

My Gran is a little whirlwind of goodness. She excudes it. It's quite sickening how charitable, kind, patient and generous she is. She's always doing something for her latest cause, along with running day centres and lunch clubs, coming up with fund raising ideas which take off globally and so on.

Her latest call to arms is The Big Knit.

If you like knitting, or like 'innocent' drinks, please visit the innocent website here and get those needles clicking! Or go into Sainsburys and buy lots of be-hatted smoothies.

As alas, I can't knit and am not part of any fundraising groups or charities, my input is limited to posting here and encouraging you all to pass it on. Oh, and buying the delicious innocent 'yoghurt, vanilla bean and honey' thickies. Shame really...

Hope you're all well - I know I'm being naughty and not seeing much of anyone but Rich is working this weekend so if any of my Cambridge crew are free, let me know and we can meet up for coffee and giggles.

Fed up of using white background search engines? Longing for something a little more 'Goth'? Well search no more!

Blackle - Goth Google

Actually, the reason I draw your attention to this is an lj friend mentioned it. Apparently, computers use more energy displaying white than black. So, not only does it look pleasing, but it's saving the planet a little too.

Remember a while back I posted a link to the best umbrella in the world (and yes, the customer review is by me!)? Well, it's been usurped!. Parasols GALLORE (see this 50s inspired baby, this lace effect umbrella style one, this purlple diamonte trim one and this wonderfully extravagent one, equally gorgeous in the purple for instance) and they do the black umbrella I love (so much that I have 3 of them)...

... in PINSTRIPE.

But the one I'd really really really adore if money were no object?

Not really much competition really.
AND you can get a 'bit' which can have real flowers integrated into it courtesy of your local florist... so want a black one with dark red roses for a photo shoot now (utilising an acrylic with strap and a claret handle because what wouldn't go with one or t'other of those).

3) Pet project. You are all aware by now of my Neopets additiction. If not, I'm shocked. Well, regardless, I've been spending those hours in the middle of the night working on this.

Hope you're reading this at a sensible time of day. If not, I hope I've given you something to do for an hour or so!

I've been updating a gzillion things on my laptop, courtesy of a wireless card, a very patient [livejournal.com profile] devalmont and shiny broadband. Needless to say, this has meant many many tweaks and 'oh, I can finally get that sorted...' moments. The most recent being downloading a skin for winamp. I opted for 'The Raven' being the sad ole goffik I am. :D

Anyway, just posting here to bring your attention to this. You see, the winamp skin was a promo for Lou Reeds 'The Raven' and aforementioned link will take you there. I thought some of you might like to take a gander but be warned, lots of visuals and sound so probably not a good plan for those of you with dial-up.

In other news, well, there isn't! I've been incredibly lazy this weekend through apathy, lack of energy and generally being a bit hell-cat like. Do I HAVE to go to work tomorrow? Ok, ok. Mind you, it has been a 'little' better this last week - lets hope it lasts.

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman

It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate a mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the website. Pass it along to people you know!
