So as it's such a beautiful day, I'm hoping the turn-out for the Geldart's 'Hog and Harmony' (Hog Roast and pianist) today will be good. I know we've got an
akonken and hopefuls include
robinbloke,
razornet and
karohemd. If you can think of anyone else in the Cambridge area who'd enjoy it, pass it on.
It's from 1pm - 5pm and I'll be there at 1pm with
akonken (provided Facebook, Emails, Etsy and LJ don't steal my soul).

So, The Geldart is doing a Hog Roast from 1pm - 5pm on Sunday.
devalmont is working, but I know that several of you expressed an interest in joining in. For £7 you get a slab of meat, some new potatoes, some veg, some live music all in a lovely pub which serves some lip smacking real ales.
I'll be there from 1pm ish... who's with me?!?
(PS - they are going to do this monthly so if you miss this one, there's always May...)

If you're in Nottingham today (or can be) and have nothing to do from about 2pm to 5pm, how about joining in with a world record attempt?
Zombie Thriller Dance
They'll kit you out, train you to walk and talk and dance like a zombie... and surely, thats far more important than your current plans anyway?

devalmont,
huggirl and me (along with lots of other wonderful people) were at Bump 'n Grindhouse last night and I have to say, it rocked my little socks.
Really enjoyed the music, the acts and it was nice to see how much effort people had made with outfits. As a venue, it's in a brilliant location. My only criticism would be the bar - although the staff were very attentive and quick, it could have done with having a bit more light at / near it.
I especially enjoyed the choccies which
raggedy_man handed out. :)
Good job and well run night kudos and general thanks for being there and doing your various stuff to
pinkapplejam,
raggedy_man,
alixandrea,
bethany_eowyn (I'm looking forward to seeing the photos),
dj_slingshot and all the bods with no ljs too :).
And thanks for lifts and / or other generic awesomeness to
c0rvu5r3x,
robinbloke and
razornet. Rich and Jen especially for putting up with a moody, hungry me when we got back!

Thanks to everyone who's been in touch either yesterday or today to wish me a happy 28th... I've been inundated! Normally that would be wonderful but it's super specially good as I'm away from home until tomorrow and am really missing my chappy.
I've texted the fab four to announce this evening's plans in Leicester (Debi, Fuzzy, John and Jen) so hope to tell you all tales of drunken debauchery, mid hangover, tomorrow.
Whilst I'm on the subject, Happy Birthday to all fellow Gemini's. There are LOADS of us here in el-jay land (and quite a few more over on Facebook).

Well rather than be utterly consumed withy buying chocolate and books for NP, I shall be adjourning to the Student Guild at Birmingham University to observe and support the magnificent
sapphrine one convincing the Student population that he is the perfect candidate for CLO (or Community Liaison Officer).
I will, needless to say, be dressed appropriately and am taking the very generous
beaut1ful_dark with me. Should anyone else wish to join us, and have an hour or so spare this evening, I'll see you there at approximately 8pm.
One IMMENSLY proud Gothette Girlfriend.
And for those of you who are interested in such things,
sapphrine and I have known each other for a year and two days today!
[Edit - On April 17th we will celebrate our 1 year anniversary]

The ability to laugh at oneself is a lesson well learned as quickly as possible. ESPECIALLY if you belong to a subculture, such as Goth.
Luckily, I have that ability and am able to take a Goth joke when it's fired at me. Which, when you're sat near the front at a Comedy night with someone as remarkably Goth as the
sapphrine one, is a handy tool to have.
In short, for laughing at smiling at very normal average Dracula / Vampyre / Goth Dude and his Weird Girlfriend digs (the rest of the jokes were awesome and the Goth ones were great in context, and not at all overdone),
sapphrine was handed a crate of Tiger Beer at the end of the night! Woo!
In addition, which is the part he cares about due to not liking beer, he gained lots of free publicity in front of some of his target audience for the campaigning which commences on Monday. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid.

Well, I admit it... I had a great time (though a rather drunken one).
The plan was Costers to meet Simon, Filly and Phil, then home. Simon and Filly were looking exceedingly loved up, so I joined
toxicpixie's group of friends for a little while, after giving up on an exceedingly inebriated Phil (that's what no food for four days does to you - not to be recommened).
Tragically, the
toxicpixie convinced me to adjourn to Gallows after rescuing
poetman and
karohemd. So off we went! Met Tom there and continued to have fab random conversations. A few ales later, we were in Eddies - where I let the side down and spent the majority of the evening dancing my lil goth boots off in the rock room.
I was finally rescued from make an UTTER fool of myself by
toxicpixie who came to take me safely home, where I proceeded to protest my soberness and alterness to
sapphrine - and promptly feel asleep in a drunken stupour.
On waking at 11ish, I assisted
sapphrine in the finishing of his Chicken Satay, and toddled round here.
Which brings us to tonight. The plan is... kinda... The Soak with my ex-work friend Katie B, then possibly Bacchus, followed by Eddies once more.
